Birmingham witnessed Combat Hall of Fame Awards" Ceremony at the prestigious Aston Villa Banqueting Suite on Saturday 26th November 2011,   Combat Magazine Editor Paul Clifton hosted over 400 Martial Arts very Best Individuals.

Birmingham based Zen Shin Karate Association, Kyoshi John Richards 7th Dan,  was among the recipients being awarded a plaque for his 'Outstanding Commitment and Devotion to the Development of Martial Arts in the United Kingdom and the World.

Kyoshi John Richards said, "he was absolutely thrilled to be recognised among some of the worlds best Martial Arts individuals,  Martial Arts gave him something that no other job or sport could ever offer".

The accolade bestowed upon him on Saturday night proved that hard work, dedication and a strong family support system helped him be the man he is today.

John, was supported by many of his students which he regards as an extension of his family and looks forward to proving to his students that their hobby can turn to something great giving a sense of achievement and great pride.
